The brief

How do you refresh a school brand built on tradition – without losing what makes it special?
Bredon School, a specialist dyslexia school within the Cavendish Education family, wanted a new visual identity that captured its belief that every student’s learning journey is unique. The challenge: create a brand that feels warm, human, and proudly individual, while still aligning with the trusted Cavendish master brand.

Our solution

We set out to craft a brand that feels as individual as the students it represents. Authentic, joyful photography celebrates real moments of learning, set against the school’s stunning countryside backdrop. Inspired by the overlays and reading tools used in dyslexia support, we introduced a softer, cream background to reduce visual stress and create a calmer, more comfortable reading experience—paired with bold overlays that highlight key words and build a dynamic, expressive identity system.
To bring energy and flexibility, we developed two visual styles: one expressive and creative, the other calm and structured. Both place the learner front and centre—because at Bredon, every story starts with the child.

The results

The refreshed brand gives Bredon a confident new voice – one that feels proudly part of the Cavendish family yet unmistakably its own. It now stands out across every touchpoint, from the website to campaign materials, with visuals that radiate warmth, accessibility, and individuality.
Most importantly, the identity captures what makes Bredon truly special: a school where every learner can thrive, excel, and inspire.

I wanted a cleaner, fresher look for our school - one that focused specifically on our wonderfully vibrant, resilient and creative pupils.
